One of Benson Electrical Contracting’s latest projects involves a 7,414 square foot family care medical building expansion in Elgin, Illinois.

Working with Shales McNutt Construction, Benson Electrical Contracting worked with building owners to expand the appropriate amount of space capacity for future growth while keeping a project’s construction budget in mind.

Coordination of electrical systems can be a challenge for small medical facilities. With buildings typically around 10,000 sq. ft or less, the electrical service tends to be small. The key element with of a project this size is finding a balance between sizing the right service appropriate for medical equipment to be in included, and not oversizing it.
