Benson Electrical Contracting, Inc. Celebrates 35 Years in Business
There was plenty to celebrate at Benson Electrical Contracting’s 35th Anniversary event held September 13th at the company’s headquarters in Crystal Lake, IL. Not only was Benson Electrical Contracting celebrating 35 successful years of business, but staff and guests celebrated the recent national certification of the company as a Woman Owned Enterprise.
Originally formed and incorporated by Jim Benson in 1984, Benson Electrical Contracting provided installation of electrical wiring, electrical upgrades and maintenance service for commercial and industrial buildings. Throughout the years, the company has maintained its focus on the commercial and industrial market.
In 2016, Vickie Marconi, an employee of Benson Electrical Contracting, purchased the company and continued Benson Electrical Contracting’s expansion to meet the rapid demand for LED lighting, electrical control systems and complex security systems. Today, the company employs 13 full-time employees of which 11 of them are union electricians. It’s culture of responsibility and respect is only second to its strict focus on safety and attention to detail.
