Benson Electrical Contracting Excels at Efficiency

Smalley, in Lake Zurich, Illinois continues to lead the way in developing state-of-the-art products for industry. Benson Electrical Contracting is proud to be a part of their latest expansion as we begin the process of installing a new 3000AMP 277/480V service for new equipment in their building.

As we began the project, we were informed of the long lead times expected for the new switchgear required for the project. To avoid delays in installing the service, nine 3” underground conduits were placed now, rather than later.

Thanks to advances in horizontal directional drilling equipment and our strong partnership with Construction by Camco, the number of disturbances within the construction zone were not as intrusive as one might imagine. The site is now ready to receive the new ComEd transformer when the switchgear arrives, and all systems will be “go” for the installation of power to support Smalley’s new equipment.
